MALUA BEACH
NEW PUBLIC AMENITIES FOR MALUA BAY
A new amenity building at Malua Beach replaces a concrete block bunker with a joyful building with sandy tones under a large translucent fresh green roof. The skillion roof hovers above the building allowing natural air to circulate and delivering an abundance of natural daylight to the cubicles beneath. Outdoor showers, handbasins and pebble shaped seating overlook the beach. The angled placement of the cubicles delivers privacy to the entries and a dynamic spatial element to the design. Terrazzo cladding facing the beach adds refinement and durability, seamlessly complementing the coastal setting. The other facades are painted green then clad in an aluminium metal mesh that delivers both robustness and a wonderful play of light and depth to theses surfaces.
The Malua Bay Amenities Project combines functionality with innovative design, providing a memorable experience for all visitors.
